Wallace heading to San Francisco

Like many other NFL prospects, former Texas A&M offensive lineman Cody Wallace planned on doing three things yesterday. First, he was planted in front of a TV sitting at home watching the 2008 NFL draft.

Second, he was planning to have some family members over to barbeque and to celebrate his selection with him. Third, he was going to start watching his phone closely, waiting for the call from an NFL team.

However, Wallace got a pleasant surprise when the San Francisco 49ers called during the fourth round of the draft and made the three-year starter the 107th pick overall and the second Aggies taken in the NFL Draft.

"I had seen some stuff about going in the fifth round," Wallace said. "To tell you the truth, I thought I would be waiting until the fifth or sixth round. I wasn't expecting go that early. Teams like to keep that stuff secret. It was a pretty big shock to get that phone call."

Now, that Wallace is official a NFL football player, the feeling is intially a little overwhelming.
