Speedy AZ DB up to three offers

Ryan Milus has speed to burn.

The 5-foot-9.5, 155-pound cornerback prospect from Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton won the state championship in the 100-meter dash earlier this month. He clocked in at a blazing 10.56 seconds.

"Now that track is over, I'm getting back into football," he explained. "We are in spring ball and I had a chance to go to the NIKE Camp at Stanford (last weekend). It was my first time going up against other good D-1 prospects from across the nation. I think I did pretty good.

"I have the speed. And now I am trying to get bigger. I want to be bigger and stronger so I am better in run support. I also want to work on my footwork."

Milus was a first-team all-region selection last fall as a junior. He recorded 53 tackles and five interceptions.

On the recruiting front, Milus claims written scholarship offers from Washington State and Boise State and verbal offers from Utah and Air Force.

Washington, Arizona State, Stanford and UNLV have also been showing strong interest.

"I think almost every Pac-10 school has been by my school (during the spring evaluation period) along with Boise State and a bunch of other schools," he added. "I don't really have a favorite one right now."

Has Milus been able to form an impression of Washington State yet?

"Not really," he admitted. "They were down here this spring, they came to watch a practice. I am definitely going to try to get up there over the summer to see what they are all about."

Boise State is another college that Milus is thinking about visiting unofficially this summer.
