Son of former NFL safety camps at UGA
Georgia held their first camp this week and they had a number of kids there of all ages. One of the biggest names there was the son of a former hard hitting NFL safety. Steven Atwater just completed his sophomore year, but he is already on the radar of many college programs including the Bulldogs'.
"I got over to Georgia on Sunday and I finished camp on Wednesday," said Atwater. "It was my first camp and I worked mainly at corner, but a little at receiver too."
Atwater is out of Greater Atlanta Christian and the Spartans have sent numerous players to Athens. Christian Robinson just moved in as a freshman this week, Caleb King signed with UGA in 2007, and senior Brannan Southerland is the starting fullback for the Dawgs.
Now, the 5-foot-10, 175-pound junior had a chance to work with one of the Georgia coaches.
