Cyclones evaluating Tulsa O-lineman
A half dozen schools called Tulsa (Okla.) Booker T. Washington offensive lineman Keenan Taylor during the month of May and Iowa State was one of them. But it's another Big 12 North program that has become the first to offer Taylor a scholarship.
The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Taylor said Kansas State has made him a scholarship offer in recent days.
"I feel great about getting the offer from K-State, I really like their program," Taylor said. "Coach McCarty is the offensive line coach and I talk to him the most. I really like him. I am leaning towards Kansas State because it has offered. I'm trying to make a decision before football season starts.
Oklahoma State, Kansas, Arkansas, Iowa State and Tulsa are other schools that Keenan heard from last month and he's keeping his interest level up in several of them.
"Iowa State us up there, so is Oklahoma State and Kansas," said Taylor. "I think I am really interested in Iowa State, they are coming up in the Big 12. I want to play for a team coming up, so I guess that is why I like the schools that I do."
