Cockrell's showing does not surprise coach

Charlotte (N.C.) Latin's Ross Cockrell had a breakout performance at Michigan's summer camp last week. The 6-0, 165-pound prospect worked out at both wide receiver and cornerback, but excelled on the defensive side of the football. That comes as no surprise to Latin head coach Larry McNulty.

McNulty led a Latin team that went undefeated and won a state title in 2007. Cockrell chipped in with an amazing 11 interceptions on defense, including five he returned for touchdowns, and made 37 receptions for 683 yards and six touchdowns on offense.
