Black Knights offer massive Oregon OL

On the surface, Army appears as an outlier among the favorites of Charles Siddoway's favorites.

The 6-foot-6, 314-pound offensive tackle out of Eugene (OR) Marist Calif., has eight football scholarship offers, and with the exception of Army's offer, the others are primarily from West Coast schools. These schools include California, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA, Washington, Boise State and Portland State.

In other words, there are seven reasons (offers) for Siddoway to stay closer to home when he makes a commitment. Yet the mammoth offensive tackle has reason or two to check out Army, whereby Head Coach Stan Brock has initiated the recruiting of Siddoway. "I was kind of surprised by the offer … I was expecting it," shares Siddoway. "They got a great program there, prestigious in their academics and everything.

With Siddoway receiving his offer from the Black Knights a few weeks ago, does location play a factor his college decision? "Honestly, not so much," declares Siddoway. "What I'm looking for is a good relationship with the coaches before I make any decisions, I want to know them pretty well, visit the campus to know I fit well and I want to major in business so hopefully the school of choice will have a good business school."

Siddoway who has been working hard with his teammates to prepare for the upcoming season, describes his game as one that is pretty aggressive, knowledgeable, can block anywhere on the field, get out to the corner and he can block up field as well.

Presently, he does not have any unofficial visit scheduled, but will be attending the Alabama camp in July. "They said to my coach a few months ago to come there so they could evaluate me.

GoBlackKnights.com will continue to follow the recruiting of Siddoway.
