Mossakowski trimming list; high on AU

Frisco (Texas) Centennial's Ryan Mossakowski is getting ready to make a cut. By next Monday, the four-star quarterback is planning to have his list down to five.

Now isn't a bad time for a school to get a visit. Now isn't a bad time to get the chance to make a good impression.

Auburn got that chance this past weekend.

Mossakowski, rated the No. 5 pro-style quarterback in the country by Rivals.com, arrived on the Plains Friday night. He spent the better part of Saturday working under Tony Franklin at the Tigers' final camp of the summer.

Mossakowski, 6-foot-4, 205 pounds, has known the Tigers' new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for three years. The two have developed a good relationship over that time. It's a big reason the Tigers are a serious contender for him.

This weekend they got the opportunity to build on it, and build they did.
