Zelinksy is in no rush to make his commitment

After a long stint on the camp circuit, linebacker Kyle Zelinsky is a prospect who is well known to the Midwest recruiting world. With offers from CMU, Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Air Force, Akron, and Ball State, Zelinsky's skills are becoming a highly sought after commodity. About these offers, Kyle said, "I take all of the schools that offer me into great consideration."

"I got offered by Central in the beginning of June. When I got the offer, I was real thrilled. As soon as that happened a week or two later, we took a visit up there and we spent the entire day meeting the coaches and getting to know the program," Kyle said.

When asked, Kyle had nothing but positive things to say about his opinion on and experiences with Central Michigan.

"I got along with the coaches real well. I think their program is really going in the right direction and there are a lot of good people up there. I really liked their past winning seasons and the chemistry of the team. They are going to start winning more and more games."

Apparently, the interest between CMU and Kyle is moving both ways.

"Out of the schools I have offers from, CMU is recruiting me the hardest right now, and also Ball State. Those two and Western (Michigan)."

Despite the positive connections between CMU and Zelinsky, Kyle says he is nowhere near making a decision just yet.

"At this point, my decision is probably not going to come until after the season starts. After a few games, I will see where I'm at. I'm still waiting to see what happens with some other schools I've been hearing from. As for my top three, I'm still kind of thinking about it. I'm waiting to hear back from some of the schools I camped at."

For now, Zelinsky reports that he is focusing on getting better and preparing for his senior season.

"I think one of my best attributes is my run-read strength. That's my approach and I'm always working on it. Also, (my teammates and I) have always had a real talented age group and we always talk about winning state and going deep into the playoffs. We remind each other of it daily."

Will Kyle's winning high school experiences remind him of a potential winning career at CMU?
