Pirates make offer to 2010 point guard

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Charlotte (NC) South Meckenburg point guard Ian Miller is getting a lot of early looks. The class of 2010 prospect has loads of offers already and the list continues to grow.

Clemson, Florida State, Kentucky, Ohio State, Xavier, East Carolina and others have already offered the Rivals.com four-star rated guard is enjoying the ride.

Oregon State, Georgetown, and Florida are also in the picture.

"The recruiting process is going pretty good," said Miller, "I'm not going to make a decision until probably sometime during the school year."

Miller talked about his Pirate recruitment so far where East Carolina has offered him a scholarship.

ECU Assistant Coach Darryl LaBarrie is heading up Miller's recruitment for the Pirates and Ian talked about ECU.

"They're one of the first colleges to offer me and I like the coaches."

Miller, at 6-0, 160 pounds is playing a key role for the United Celtics in AAU ball, where he tossed in 25 against but played on a smaller team in high school last season and talked about last year at South Mecklenburg in Charlotte.

"We did alright, we didn't really have a big man so we had to run up and down the court."

The Charlotte point guard hopes to make his way to the Greenville campus for a visit to check things out for himself.

"I haven't visited East Carolina, but I am looking forward to coming down for a visit during one of the football games."
