2010 linebacker making the camp rounds
In this day and age with spread offenses being prevalent from the professional level all the way down to the high school ranks, it is becoming increasingly hard for colleges to find true inside linebackers. When a prospect shows he has the ability to play in the middle, he immediately becomes a hot commodity.
That appears to be exactly the case with 2010 Austin (TX) Westlake defender David Durham. Despite not having begun his junior year of high school, the 6-foot-3, 226-pound prospect has his name known by colleges across the country. It helps that he has been to several camps, but his performances there have earned him rave reviews from coaching staffs.
"I'm actually in Tuscaloosa right now," Durham said on Monday evening. "I just got done with an Alabama camp. It went well; I like Alabama.
"I also took a trip up to Penn State and they've had, obviously, a lot of good linebackers go through there and that's important to me. LSU is another school that I'm definitely interested in as well. I was going to try and make the drive down there from Alabama for their camp, but I wasn't able to. They've been showing some interest in me already, too."
