McCord makes the call

The commitments keep rolling in for Central Michigan.

Just one day after Jarrett Fleming gave his verbal to the Chippewa coaching staff, defensive tackle Aaron McCord followed suit, giving CMU 19 commitments in the 2009 recruiting class.

"Last night I committed to Central Michigan," McCord said via a text message to BadgerBlitz.com recruiting analyst Paul Day Tuesday morning.

The 6-foot-3, 270-pound prospect from Detroit (MI) Crockett had an offer from Ball State with strong interest coming Indiana, Iowa and Wisconsin of late.

"You know, if I was to go the Big Ten level I would probably have to wait and sit behind a senior or something as where if I went to the MAC I could probably start as a true freshman," McCord told BadgerBlitz.com on July 15. "So I'm really kind of even about both of them as long as we're winning. I want a winning program."
