Top 2010 DB hitting the recruiting trail
One way to get your name on the recruiting radar early is to make 88 tackles and three interceptions your freshman year. Then if that doesn't work you can follow it up with 122 tackles and three interceptions as a sophomore. It certainly worked for Irving Nimitz 2010 defensive back Eddrick Loften.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pound safety was named the sophomore MVP for his district, which includes 5A state champs Euless Trinity. This summer he has been making his rounds to nearby camps to show off his skills.
Loften is gaining interest from Texas A&M, Texas, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Oklahoma State and Baylor. Prospects in the class of 2010 cannot be officially offered a scholarship until Sept. 1, 2008.
