Offseason Recruiting Re-Cap

This offseason Tennessee's coaching staff did perhaps its best job ever of getting prospects to campus for unofficial visits. That effort has resulted in 15 verbal commitments already, but that number doesn't come close to accounting for all the high level prospects that have passed through Knoxville.

Leading off this section are two in-state targets who are very familiar to Tennessee fans by now. Memphis wide receiver Marlon Brown and Nashville defensive back Eric Gordon have occupied prominent places on the Vols' wish list since last football season. Both prospects have been on campus multiple times and both appear to be strongly considering Tennessee.
