Marshall Still Eyeing Huskies?

Three-star running back Cameron Marshall has seen his stock skyrocket this summer after impressive showings at camps. He's wowed recruiters with his combination of size and speed.

"My summer went well and I went to the ASU camp and B2G Elite camp in Southern California," said Marshall. "The Arizona camp was great and they offered me, and at the B2G I was one of the top backs."

The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Marshall runs in the 4.4 range, holds a 3.4 GPA, scored a qualifying 1290 on his SAT, and that all has colleges lined up to get his attention. Marshall offer list is not up to eight. With all of this added attention, who has been recruiting him the hardest and does Washington still have a chance?

"ASU is still coming after me a lot. Northwestern, Arizona, Nebraska, Utah, Oregon and Washington have also been in contact," explained Marshall. "I have talked to coach [Tim] Lappano and they send a lot of mail. I really don't have any favorites but Washington has a legitimate chance. They have a solid, well know program and they are good with their backs."

Things are currently wide open for Marshall as he narrows down his list of schools he want to take an official visit with. As he narrows his list there are some things he is looking for.

"I want a school with good academics because I want to get my degree. When it comes to football I'm looking for a good fit with the team, a place I feel comfortable. The place I'm living is important but it won't be a deal breaker. I want coaches who can make me a better player and also focuses on making me better off the field."

Currently listed the No. 21 running back in the country, Marshall actually hopes to improve his stock even more with an impressive senior season.

"Personally I'm just looking to have one of the most dominating performances out there. I'm coming back from solid junior year and I want to be even better as a senior. As a team I want to win the league title, then the district title and make it to state. I believe we have a good enough to team to do all of that."
