Feight's 40 freakish as Mercersburg begins

MERCERSBURG, Pa.--WVU football commit Curtis Feight went from a "nobody" to somebody by crossing the Atlantic Ocean.

The young man who had a hard time finding the nearest football field in his native Germany, committed to the Mountaineers last week and returned here Monday to start his senior high-school season at Mercersburg Academy, about 10 miles northwest of Hagerstown, Md.

Having arrived on campus at 2:10 a.m. Monday, Feight, a 6-foot-6, 270-pound defensive lineman, donned a T-shirt, shorts and running shoes at 1:30 p.m., and then ricocheted out of a football stance to run 4.75 and 4.74 40-yard-dashes on the outdoor synthetic tack. He may be the quickest DL recruited to WVU since head coach Bill Stewart joined the staff in 2000.
