Rising guard picks up first offer

When Allen Crabbe starts shooting around in warm-ups before games, he probably hears the whispers. He's the shooter, make sure you don't leave him open. But even with defenses geared toward stopping him, the lanky 6-foot-4, 165-pound rising junior shooting guard from Price High School in L.A. got things done on the AAU circuit this summer. His strong finish caught the attention of high-major college programs, including one which has already decided that he's good enough to offer a scholarship.

"My last two tournaments in Las Vegas and L.A. were the best two I had this year," Crabbe said. "I put the ball on the floor more and I shot the ball well."
