Basketball Tigers host talented prospects

While last Saturday's game against LSU attracted a number of football prospects from across the South, it was also an opportunity for many of AU's other sports teams to bring in visitors.

The men's basketball team brought in two official visitors -- current commitments Andre Malone and Robert Chubb -- and at least one talented unofficial visitor.

Rated a four-star and the nation's No. 74 overall prospect by Rivals.com, Malone said the highlight of his visit was spending time with AU's players and coaches. He was hosted by sophomore transfer Tony Neysmith.

"It went real well," Malone said. "I enjoyed going out with the players and playing basketball with them.

"The game was real nice. There were a lot of people there that support Auburn. I'm just trying to get most of those fans to the basketball team so we can turn the program around."

Malone is also excited about the future of Auburn basketball and playing in the new basketball arena, which should be finished in time for his sophomore season.
