Neuheisel pleased with practice

UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel was very pleased with the effort and tempo that his young team displayed at Wednesday's practice. If they are going have a chance to win in a tough environment, this team will have to perform at the top of their game and with high intensity. This young team are also having fun out there as they gain experience. The following is what Neuheisel had to say after Wednesday's practice.

Neuheisel: "I thought it was a good practice today. The defense came with a lot of intensity early and got our offense lathered up and then the offense finished strong. I think that these are good days. You always want to leave practice feeling like you improved and that's what you are hoping for as a coach. We certainly need to do that if we're going to have a chance this Saturday in Eugene."

Does it feel like there is a better bounce coming off everyone's step because of the win?

Neuheisel: "Oh certainly, that is the goal. You always feel better, but there is lots of work still to be done. I have not faulted this team's effort regardless of what the outcome was the week previous."

How is Marcus Everett?

Neuheisel: "Closer, I would say questionable, but I would say closer to probable in a week from now. It is one of those things that I'm going to decide in pregame, he's going to make the trip."
