UGA surprises 2010 Virginia DL

2010 defensive tackle Evan Hailes made the trip to Athens over the weekend to visit the University of Georgia. It was his first time to the classic city and he took the opportunity to see what the Bulldog program was all about.

"It was my first visit to Georgia and they really have a lot to offer down there," said Hailes. "They have a crazy atmosphere, they have a lot of tradition, they have a lot of good players, I liked a lot of things down there."

Georgia's Tony Ball recruits much of Virginia, so he is the coach Hailes will be in contact with more than anyone, but the junior had a chance to talk to a couple more coaches during his visit.

"I talked to Coach Garner and Coach Richt along with Coach Ball. Coach Garner said he had heard about me, but he had not seen any film on me yet. He said he was going to check me out to see if I was legit. Coach Richt just told me to keep doing what I am doing up in Virginia because it is working. He might have known that we are the number one team in the state."

The crowd Georgia plays on front of every season when at home is exactly what the Virginia prep star is looking for. He really liked those Bulldog fans.
