Cyclones make a big move

The Iowa State basketball team hosted one of the top point guard prospects left in the class of 2009 this past weekend on an unofficial visit. Chris Colvin, a 6-foot-2, 174-pound point guard out of Chicago Whitney High made the trip to Ames with his father and he was surprisingly pleased with his time in Ames.

"At first I didn't think it was going to be very good because it was in Iowa. I had an experience going down there before because my grandma lives there," Colvin said. "It was very boring then but it was different this time. I thought I was going to be bored. I had a good time."

While Colvin's offer list continues to get more and more impressive, he told CycloneReport.com on Sunday night that his recruitment was likely going to come down to four teams.

"Providience, Iowa State, USC, Marquette are top runners," Colvin said.

Colvin will be visiting Marquette next weekend followed by USC in the near future. He also said that he could possibly check out Fresno State if he has time.

Expect a decision by Colvin to come in mid-November.
