Auburn commit considering in-state school
Batesville (Miss.) South Panola safety David Conner was an early commitment to Auburn, but the 5-foot-9, 185-pounder said recently he's having second thoughts and is now reconsidering an in-state SEC school.
Conner gave his pledge to the Tigers in August over offers from Ole Miss and Mississippi State. He remained firm in his Auburn decision until the Tigers' recent struggles. Auburn has lost back-to-back games to Vanderbilt and Arkansas and goes into Morgantown, W.Va. Thursday night 4-3.
Conner has also been receiving a lot of attention lately from the Rebels. He received a phone call last week from head coach Houston Nutt.
