UGA visits Massie; five-star feels important
Georgia has hit the road fast and furious this week. Three Bulldog coaches left their home state and traveled to Virginia on Monday to visit five-star offensive tackle Bobby Massie.
"Coach [Rodney] Garner, Coach [Tony] Ball, and Coach [Stacy] Searels came up here today," said Massie Monday night.
Coach Ball was Massie's primary recruiter last year because he recruits much of the state of Virginia for Georgia while Coach Searels has been in constant contact with him on a regular basis because he coaches the offensive line for the Dawgs. Coach Garner oversees all UGA recruiting as the Recruiting Coordinator, so Massie has gotten to know him too.
Each coach had something to say to Massie during their meeting at Hargrave.
"Coach Searels just talked to me about the offensive line situation at Georgia and how I could come in and play for them early. He told me that I could make a big impact at Georgia on the OL. We have gotten to be real cool and we talk every week. We talk about a lot of other stuff besides football too, so we have good conversation."
"Coach Ball just talked to me more about UGA as a school and how they do things there. He talked about how it would be playing for Coach [Mark] Richt and how he likes working for him."
"Coach Garner was talking more about the defense and how I could help the defensive line get better by practicing against them. He said the defensive line would help me get better too."
