Jones has a change of plans

The halls have been full of coaches and the house has had its fair share of visitors over the past 10 days, but Jarvis Jones has handled all of the attention with ease. The hard hitting linebacker is one of the premier recruits in the country and he has had a change of plans.

"I have changed my visit to Georgia and I am now visiting this weekend instead of January 16," said Jones. "We lost in the playoffs last weekend and this weekend became open, so I have decided to go up to Athens this weekend."

What sparked this change was a phone call from UGA Head Coach Mark Richt.

"Coach Richt called me over the weekend to see how I was doing and things like that. After we had talked for a little bit, he asked me what I thought about coming in for my visit this weekend and I told him that was cool. I knew I had nothing going on, so I will head up there for my official visit either Friday or Saturday."

The call from Coach Richt impressed the 6-foot-3, 225 pound athlete. Jones talks with his recruiting coaches often, but hearing from the top Dawg in Athens showed him a lot.
