Austin glad others could 'play along'

Saturday, in a stadium named for one Baltimore legend, another will end his career.

Tavon Austin, several of his Dunbar teammates, and members of the Poets' coaching staff will draw an end to a high-school reign that likely will go unduplicated in the near future.

Their Baltimore area select senior team will take on a like-group from Washington's Maryland suburbs in the Crab Bowl, Maryland's only statewide high school football all star game featuring veteran athletes from private and public school ranks. The contest is set for Johnny Unitas Stadium at Towson University. Kickoff is 1 p.m. and tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
