Wyoming Offers Ghaali Muhammed
Wyoming has extended an offer to Ghaali Muhammed, an athletic and well built skill position prospect from Central HS in St Joseph, Missouri. Muhammed had received interest from Kansas, Missouri, and Northwestern among other D1 programs.
Muhammed is a thick built athlete at 5 foot 11 and 200 pounds, and brings better than 4.5 speed to the field. He has explosive leg strength.
The Cowboys may want to play Muhammed as a wide receiver in their spread offense opposed to defensive secondary like other programs are considering.
"Most of the schools have been talking to me about the defensive side of the ball," Muhammad told Rivals.com. "I love hitting and I think I could eventually move to safety, but right now, schools are talking to me about cornerback."
Wyoming's Dave Christensen had evaluated Muhammed while the new UW head coach was at Missouri and sees a big upside in the high school player.
Christensen's staff has extended offers to three other Missouri products including OT Parker Graham, DT Mark Hill, and WR David Tooley.
