Cunningham chooses the Beavers

Coming on the heels of their big home victory against USC, head basketball coach Craig Robinson received more good news today on the recruiting front. Jared Cunningham, a 4-star, Rivals top 70 point guard from San Leandro (Calif.) San Leandro verbally committed to the Beavers this afternoon.

"I committed to Oregon State earlier today," said Cunningham. "It is a great fit for me and I'm excited to play for Coach Robinson, who is both a great mentor and coach."

As one of the top unsigned point guard prospects in the country, Cunningham started hearing from Oregon State after he de-committed from Arizona State. Oregon State assistant, Doug Stewart led the recruitment for the Beavers, and his interest in Oregon State picked up soon after.
