Surprise visitor plans to walk-on

Jeremy Cox was hoping a big senior season would be the catalyst to picking up some top scholarship offers.

But those dreams came to an end in the first quarter of his second game when Cox went down with a knee injury.

"I tore my ACL," Cox said. "A bunch of colleges were recruiting me until my injury.

"It was real depressing, real hard."

But just because Cox doesn't have a bunch of scholarship offers to choose from doesn't mean he can't still chase his dream of playing big-time college football. Auburn has offered Cox an opportunity as an invited walk-on.

Cox, along with teammate and close friend, linebacker Harris Gaston, officially visited Auburn this weekend.
