JUCO QB looking for a new home

A month ago, quarterback Garrett Barnas was graduating from Harper Junior College and getting ready to enroll at Syracuse at semester. Then, the new coaching staff for the Orange under Doug Marrone decided to rescind his scholarship offer, leaving the JUCO All-American looking for a new home.

This past season, he completed 196 of 356 passes for 2,519 yards and 25 touchdowns and added 731 yards and 8 touchdowns on the ground as well. Before committing to Syracuse, the two-time JUCO All-American was hearing from several other schools, including Iowa, Northern Illinois, and Central Michigan, and hopes to touch base with them again now that his recruiting is back open.
