Sunflower Showdown resumes tonight

For Kansas and Kansas State fans, not many games on the schedule, if any, are as important as the Sunflower Showdown. For as long as the game has been played, families, friends and loved-ones have become divided over the years, with one group or individual cheering for one school over the other. In two meetings last season between the Jayhawks and Wildcats, the home team proudly defended their court. Kansas will look to improve its winning streak in Allen Fieldhouse to 34 when Kansas State comes calling at 7:00 CST on Tuesday night.

In two games last season, Kansas and Kansas State both managed to hold serve at home. The Jayhawks, who entered the game with a perfect 20-0 record, would suffer their first loss of the season several hours later.
