San Diego record holder has great trip
Three-star wide receiver James Johnson (6-1, 205, 4.55) from Valley Center, Calif., just came back from an outstanding visit from Oregon. He has one more official visit on his itinerary to Washington, but there is a surprise school making a late run for his services.
"Oregon was a great trip," Johnson said. "It was awesome."
"I like the fact that I have a chance to play on the offensive side of the ball at Oregon and I like how the team is like a family," Johnson said. "The coaches are great and laid back."
"It is down to Oregon, Washington and San Diego State," Johnson said. "The reason for San Diego State is I live in San Diego and I think they have a really good coaching staff."
Johnson was selected to the Rivals.com California Preseason Top 100 team for 2009 landing as the Golden State's No. 55 prospect at any position.
