Maka confirmed to UCLA

Three-star Taniela Maka (6-1, 220) from Long Beach (Calif.) Jordan has been a hard person to catch up since he changed his committal from Arizona to UCLA last Saturday. It was a very tough decision for the hard hitting linebacker, but playing close to home trumped all other options.

"Playing at UCLA will allow the family to see him play at home," Barnes said. "Taniela really liked Arizona, but the opportunity to play in front of his family and friends was very important to him."

Besides UCLA and Arizona, Maka held offers from Arizona State, Washington, Hawai'i, Nevada and New Mexico.
