Patterson likes what he sees

Dallas Skyline junior Dominique Patterson received his offer from the Aggies in November and named the A&M as an early leader shortly thereafter. He was invited to a junior day in early December but he and his Skyline teammates found themselves in the playoffs and he was unable to attend. However, with football season out of the way, Patterson received another invitation for this past Saturday and this time he could not resist.
"Everything went well," said the 6-foot-1, 210-pound Patterson, who earned all district honors in his first year at the position. "I liked it a lot and I liked the coaches too."
Patterson says he met all of the coaches at one time or another throughout the day. However, he spent most of his time with head coach Mike Sherman, defensive coordinator/linebackers coach Joe Kines, and cornerbacks coach Charles McMillian, who recruits Skyline for the Aggies.
"They got all of us linebackers in together and we watched a few highlights," Patterson said. "[Kines] said that was what he liked to see. They told us that they don't have any true linebackers. They are looking for true linebackers with us and the class after us. They want to be the way the A&M defense used to be.
