Lomax bowled over
It has been a busy few months for Lake Oswego (Ore.) quarterback Jack Lomax. Not only did he lead the Lakers to the Oregon 6A state championship game, he put up amazing numbers (204-297, 3,373 yards, 44 TD's, 5 int.) and was named as the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Oregon.
Lomax received recruiting attention from around the west, including offers from Portland State and Hawai'i, but decided early in November to commit to Coach Mike Riley and the Oregon State Beavers. Although he had been to campus on several occasions unofficially, Lomax took his official visit over the weekend and walked away thoroughly impressed.
