Strimel & Pozonsky make it two from Canon McMillian HS

With several on lookers, teammates Brad Strimel and Jon Pozonsky signed their commitment to play football for the Black Knights. This gave Army two player from Canonsburg (PA) Canon McMillan High School, although both will be taking different routes on their way to West Point.

The 6-foot-2, 225 Strimel, who is projected as a linebacker in Ellerson's defense, will be a direct admit, while Pozonsky will be making his way to the USMAPS.

Both players were joined by family and friends, who shared in their signing day ceremony. "My parents, grandparents and my head coach, Guy Montecalvo were all there," shares Pozonsky. "I'm excited - thrilled … it feels like a dream.

Although Pozonsky could end up at strong safety (rover) prospect, he realizes that he will have to keep an open mind relative to position. "The coaches told me that I could play fullback or linebacker, but not to focus on one position," shares the 6-foot, 205 pound commit.

Strimel expressed the same level of excitement in his commitment to play football at Army and attend West Point. "This is extra special for me … signing with Army," said Strimel. "It's a great school and with quality football, along a great future. This is something I wanted to do since middle school, which was to go to West Point."

Both players spoke to coaches Waugh and Tripp to confirm that their faxes were received and Strimel left this final comment for the Army fans.

"I hope they (fans) are looking forward to us bringing Army football back."
