Another Cali RB lands offer

Another day, another California running back lands an offer. This time the offer goes to Melvin Davis (6-2, 235, 4.6) from Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne.

"The Washington Huskies just offered Melvin," Narbonne recruiting coordinator Byron Moore, Sr., said. "He is thrilled to have his first offer and for it to come from Washington a program that he feels is on the rise, makes it even better for him."

Davis is a big powerful running back who gets down and is about as hard to tackle as a runaway train. While playing for a team that had a lot of weapon and shared the football, Davis ended up rushing for close to 500 yards and eight touchdowns. He also had eight catches out of the backfield.

Though Davis played both ways as a junior, he earned first-team all-league, first-team all-City and first-team all-area as an offensive player.
