SoCal athlete has bloodlines and skill

Big athletic football players are always of interest to D-I college coaches and that is why tight end/defensive end Harold Mobley (6-4, 225, 4.65) from Corona (Calif.) Roosevelt is on the list of many colleges.

"A lot of colleges are recruiting Harold as a defensive end," Roosevelt coach Bill Stacy said. "Fresno State head coach, Pat Hill is recruiting him as a defensive end."

"Colorado State and Fresno State are very interested," Stacy said. "As matter of fact, every school that has seen his tape have commented that they are interested in Harold."

Other school that are taking a long look are Arizona, Arizona State, Washington State and UNLV.

Mobley has outstanding football bloodlines. He is related to former all-pro linebacker for the Denver Broncos, John Mobley and former all-pro defensive tackle Roosevelt Grier who played for the New York Giants and Los Angeles Rams in the 1960's.

It won't be very surprising to see Mobley blow up the recruiting trail as the spring evaluation period presses on.
