Haynes opens things up after latest offers
West Orange Stark athlete James Haynes earned the Combine King title at a recent National Underclassmen Combine with a 36-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot, 5-inch broad jump and a 4.49-second 40-yard dash. However, you could use the title to describe him as a prospect because it seems that wherever he goes, he always makes people take notice.
For example, last summer Haynes participated in a camp at Texas Tech and and had a 42-inch vertical jump. At the U.S. Army Combine in January, he ran 4.53-second 40-yard dash which was one of the best times of the day.
The attention he's garnered from his performances has resulted in him already obtaining six offers. One of the latest schools to step into the mix was Texas A&M, which surprised him with an offer late last week.
The 6-foot-1, 181-pound Haynes has scholarship offers from Texas A&M, Florida, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Stanford and Houston.
