Ohio's Mr. Football holds some early offers
Erick Howard became the first player from Stark County and just the second junior to be named Ohio's Mr. Football last fall. The award has been handed out for 22 years. The 5-foot-10, 210-pound running back from Hoover High in North Canton finished the 2008 season with 2,322 yards and 28 touchdowns. Howard's production last season has also been rewarded in the form of Division-1 scholarship offers, including one from CU.
