SoCal atlete lands Big 10 offer
One of fastest rising prospects on the west coast is defensive end/slot back/tight end Alani Fua (6-6, 215, 4.56) from Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian. He recently landed a huge offer from the Big 10 raising his scholie tally to eight.
"Alani just received an offer from Ohio State," Oaks Christian coach Bill Redell said. "He was really excited about that."
"Ohio State has him slated to play tight end," Redell said. "They like his athletic ability and though he only weighs 215, he has the frame and the genetics to carry more weight. His dad weighs over 400 pounds and his brother is Stanford defensive tackle Sione Fua who weighs 300."
