Ducks looking at Lewis

A second home. That's what Shaun Lewis, one of the nation's best linebackers says he's looking for. The Oregon coaches hope Eugene is that kind of place for him after offering the four-star outside linebacker a scholarship.

"I'm looking for a second home, Lewis said, "just trying to get a feel for people I'm around that I'm comfortable with. The coach that I play for is important obviously. How I fit in with the system football-wise. A lot of things that tie into it but those are some of the general things. "

Lewis says he hasn't started narrowing down his choices just yet. But that Oregon does interest him. "I don't know too much about the Oregon program, but I'm learning about it. I know they're looking for linebackers like me and I know they'd treat me right if I decided to go there. I also know they're a very good program and they win every year. I'm being recruited by the linebacker coach, (Don Pellum). I plan on taking all my visits. I don't know if Oregon will be one of them but they're definitely one I'm considering. Distance isn't an issue I just want to go, like I said, to a place where it feels like a second home."

Oregon's system seems to like a good fit for what he wants to do at the next level. Lewis is a 6' 1", 205lb. tackling machine that plays with fire. Currently ranked 195th on the Rivals 250, he's likely to move up that list during the upcoming season.
