Bruins have high eyes for JUCO DE
Junior college standout Marquis Jackson continues to quietly to accumulate written scholarship offers from a few of the top Division I programs in the nation. In the past month, he has doubled his offers from three to a total of six contenders for his services. UCLA was one of the first to offer him. Where do they stand right now?
"I'm doing fine," said Jackson, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound strong side defensive end from College of the Canyons in California. "I just started summer school and kind of finish school, so I can do what I have got to do. It is nothing major.
"I have six offers now. I have Kentucky, UCLA, ASU, Washington, Minnesota and LSU. I have a little bit of everything there - Pac-10 and SEC."
The UCLA Bruins are always on his mind and definitely one school that he is strongly considering for the rest of his college football career.
"It is an up and coming programs," Jackson said. "It is a school that is missing a few pieces of the puzzle, but when they get (the right players), they will be one of the20premier teams in the Pac-10, I think personally. They are missing a few tools. I talk to coach Todd Howard, I talk to coach Chuck Bullough and I talk to coach Rick Neuheisel. I talk to basically everybody, but I talk to Howard and Bullough the most."
