Massive tackle talks State visit

Size like Tony Jacob's doesn't come along everyday.

The 6-foot-8, 310-pound offensive tackle from Atlanta's Westlake High School already has eight scholarship offers, seven from football and one for basketball.

Central Florida, Middle Tennessee, Savannah State, Indiana, Alabama State, Stillman and New Mexico have offered Jacob for his services on the gridiron while Florida Gulf Coast University covets him as a basketball prospect.

Of his offers, Jacob lists UCF and Indiana as his two leaders.

Jacob recently visited Mississippi State along with Westlake teammates Darius Robinson[/db[ [db]Michael Taylor, who the Bulldogs have offered. MSU seemed to make quite an impression on the massive lineman.

"I would say Mississippi State is a pretty good school from what I saw," Jacob said. "At first I didn't think anything was there or that it wasn't that big of a school but when I actually went there I saw that it was a big school. I liked their campus and It's a big school that has a nice campus and nice dorms. I liked their coaches and the way they said that they coach. I like their football field and how it was set up and their locker room."

It was Jacob's third visit to Starkville having attended basketball camp there twice before. He plays center for the Lions and averaging a double-double last season.
