Drummond holds SU offer

Hubbard (OH) Hubbard athlete Kurtis Drummond is one of the top players in Ohio and many schools have come calling for him. One school that has taken interest in Drummond is Syracuse.

"I was excited about the Syracuse offer. I have been looking at them."

Drummond, 6-foot-2, 198 pounds does not know much about the Orange, but he does know about their current situation and the climate during the winter.

"They just signed a whole new coaching staff, so they will be rebuilding. It is a nice school, but it is kind of cold up there."

On Rivals.com the three star prospect is listed as an athlete. The Orange are going after Drummond the same way. Schools likes Syracuse may not know where Drummond will line up for them, they just know he can play.

"Syracuse is looking at me as an athlete. They have not said what side of the ball they want me on yet," Drummond said. "They just like my ability to make plays."

What side of the ball does the Ohio product like best?

"I am leaning more towards defense," Drummond stated. "I like to hit."

Michigan, Michigan State, and Pittsburgh are just a couple of schools that join Syracuse in the pursuit of Drummond, but some other schools could be joining the list.

"West Virginia, Iowa, and Wisconsin those are the top three that might be close [to offering]."

With double digit offers in hand and new schools ready to hop on Drummond does not have a top five, but he did enjoy a trip to the Big Ten.

"I don't have a top five, but from the schools I have visited Michigan State was the best so far."

Where does Syracuse stand in the mind of Drummond?

"They are in the top 10 for sure, but like I said I don't really have a top five. They are definitely not out."

A decision before the start of the football season would be ideal, however Drummond is still not sure when he will pull the trigger.

"I kind of want to commit before the season, but I really don't know yet."
