Ohio ATH has Spartans on top

Hubbard (Ohio) three-star athlete prospect Kurtis Drummond's recruitment is coming into focus, as the 6-2, 198-pounder is now looking closely at three schools - Michigan State, Pitt and West Virginia.

A little more than a week ago Drummond said the Spartans sit atop his list, and that is where they remain today.

Why is MSU Drummond's top school?

"When I went up there to visit the visit went pretty well. I like the facilities and the coaching staff, so that's basically what put them in the spot that they're in now," Drummond told SpartanMag.com Sunday night, adding that the Spartans are recruiting him to play safety.

But Drummond isn't ready to make his leader his choice. Before ending his recruitment he plans to visit the Spartans, Panthers and Mountaineers, this time taking mom along for the ride.

"I want my mom to go see a couple places first and then I'll probably decide," Drummond said, adding that he would like to take all three visits before his senior year begins. "I plan on taking her up (to MSU) so she can see that one."
