Parker planning on another productive year
South Panola (Miss.) four-star running back Nicholas Parker has only made one camp appearance all summer.
It's not that the Dandy Dozen running back doesn't want to make camp visits, he just simply hasn't had the time.
"Man, I haven't had time to go to hardly any camps this summer," Parker said. "I've been working at the school waxing and stripping floors. I go to the field house first and workout then start work. I've just been going up to the field house everyday just trying to better my team."
And Parker's team is simply one of the best perennially each season and had the nation's longest active winning streak at 89 games until the Tigers streak was broken in the MHSAA Class 5A State Championship falling to Meridian 26-20 in overtime.
"That games is just inspiration," Parker said of his junor finale. "That's just going to motivate us and make us better."
Parker, nicknamed 'Big', carried an astounding 357 times last season racking up over 2,500 yards and 27 touchdowns leading South Panola to a 14-1 record. He even toted the ball 58 times in one game during the Tigers playoff run.
