Media Day Two-Minute Drill: Dexter Heyman

LOUISVILLE, KY - One of the more anticipated recruits in the 2008 recruiting class, UofL sophomore linebacker Dexter Heyman made his debut last season appearing in eight games while starting one. The 6-3, 238-pound product of Male H.S. is looking forward to an increased role on defense this season, and he talked to Cardinalsports.com on Media Day...

"I feel older than I am, absolutely. We have a lot of young guys this year, on defense in particular, that we're expecting to make plays. They are going to go through of the things I went through last year, and all I can do is encourage them to get better.

"I had a short talk with Jake Geffrad yesterday. He seemed to be getting a little discouraged, and I had to tell him it was new to me coming out of high school last year. You try to get better every day; that's what camp's about. You have to stay positive."
