Williams picks up offer from the Black Knights

It really doesn't matter what position Kristoff Williams plays, he always seems to have an impact on the game.

Last season, he was asked to play wide receiver, after spending the first two years under center. His production as a junior saw him pull in 19 catches for over 350 yards, along with 8 touchdowns - one rushing and one on a punt return.

Williams, who is out of Antioch (Calif.) Deer Valley High School, will return to his initial position for his senior season.

Currently the 6-foot-3, 190 prospect has three offers in hand. One from UNLV, who offered him on June 14th, Nevada and then there's Army, who recently extended an offer.

Spoke to Coach Shields two weeks ago and offered two weeks ago.

"I spoke to Coach Shields one time in June, then I started to receive letters and then I filled out the questionnaire, then I spoke to Coach Shields two weeks ago when he called," Williams said. "I called him back and he asked how things were going and I told him I had two offers already. Then he said, you now have a third one. I was happy to hear that, especially since my dad also graduated (lacrosse) from West Point.

When asked if his dad's West Point alumni status has impacted his thoughts towards the Black Knights, Williams stated that his father is real happy as well, but did want to push him, but he was very happy.

Does Williams plan of visiting Army? "Coach Shields and I talked about me coming up for an official visit during the football season to check out at game," says Williams

Williams is a solid student and carries a 3.7 GPA and has an SAT score of 1600. will continue to follow Williams' recruiting throughout the summer and his senior season.
