Three-star still wide open

Three-star cornerback Shaquille Richardson (6-2, 170, 4.5) from Los Alamitos, Calif., first caught the attention of with a standout performance at the NIKE Camp held in Los Angeles. He earned the camp's MVP defensive back award and his status changed from sleeper to bona fide prospect overnight.

Since that time, Richardson has gone from no offers to seven and his hard work in the offseason has made him one of the best corners from the Golden State for the class of 2010.

Richardson is one of the main reasons that Los Al is off to a perfect 3-0 start this start this season. Even though the opposition has tried to avoid Richardson, the few times they have challenged him, the talented corner has made them pay.

So far this season, Richardson has picked off three passes, while racking up four tackles, two pass deflections, one sack and one fumble recovery.

"I'm not sure when I will make up my mind," Richardson said. "Maybe later in the process, more than likely after the season. It's looking like January."

Richardson earned a spot on the California Preseason Top 100 team for the class of 2010 landing as the Golden State's No. 47 prospect at any position.
