Decision still looms for four-star
Fans of UCLA and Cal have been on needles and pins for the announcement of four-star offensive lineman Chris Ward (6-4, 285, 5.3) from Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei. There was much speculation that Ward would come to his decision after he visited Cal this past weekend, but a decision has not been made.
"I couldn't go to Cal this past weekend because I hurt my knee," Ward said. "I didn't hurt it badly so it is a good time for us to have a bye week. I will be back for our next game."
Ward had x-rays taken on his knee yesterday (Monday October 5th) and results were known at post time. The initial thought was that Ward stretched his MCL.
"My coach didn't think it would be a good idea for me to take my visit because of my knee," Ward said. "He wanted me to rest the knee, but it feels fine. I'm moving around pretty good and getting up and down the stairs."
