Strengths: Crittenton offers more in terms of potential then any point guard in this year’s draft class. His combination of size, athleticism, and flare are unparalleled. He has NBA 3-point range on his shot and handles the ball well. He displayed outstanding court vision, making passes that the vast majority of NBA point guards could not make. His size and strength gave opposing point guards fits on the defensive end.
Weaknesses: Crittenton is not a natural point guard. His decision-making skills are poor, as is his ability to lead a team. His shot selection could really use some improvement - he often jacked up contested 3-pointers early in the shot clock. Crittenton can be a bit too flashy at times, which is a contributing factor in the ridiculously high amount of turnovers that he had on the year.
Outlook: Crittenton is one of the bigger gambles in the draft, despite his immense talents. Many wonder if he will ever develop the instincts that it takes to successfully run team in the NBA. He is a high risk, high reward type player who has the potential to become an outstanding player when it is all said and done. However, he could also flame out just as easily.
